soundfont playing help

Hi friends,
I'm very interested to play sf2 soundfonts with my laptop as my has normal GS microsoft SW synthesizer and now i have organ sf2 sounfonts and now i' unable to play sounfonts with Ti midity program,now i have yamaha psr-740 MIDI KEYBOARD.
I shall be very grateful if some one please help me how to make different settings and load sounfonts in Timidity program.
